I am an 80 year old kid. I got a Nook Color for my birthday and a Ipod Touch last Christmas. I am a metallurgical engineer by trade and enjoy all things scientific and mechanical. I want to know how things work. Right now I am trying to reactivate the Northern Colorado Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America. This is of interest to all person associate with hearing loss, the patient, the caregiver, the provider, the vendors and the developers of hearing aids. I am especially interested in getting more Veterans into the VA health care as the VA is now supplying hearing aids to more veterans.

I cut my teeth on computers as an graduate assistant instructor on the IBM 650 in 1957. All machine language, even to writing your own program for trig functions. I never did get a program to work though.
