Hey guys, It seems we are all in similar boats when it comes to the S7 or even the S7 edge. Tempered glass may be the best for our phones but its currently not an option for us.
That being said I have been testing out PET films which seem to cover the entire phone screen on my S7. My issues have been pealing on the edges of the phone... esp with a case added to it.
My other half has a S6 edge and she is using Zagg invisi shield HD. I can tell you that it stuck to the edges of her screen perfectly. However, the case has pushed one of the top corners of the screen protector off. That being said it still covers 95% of her phone without any problem and it has been on her phone for over 2 months.
I have used IQ shield on my s7. It fit the screen perfectly but withing a few days the top of the phone had bubbled up. I believe its because of the case ( I use a Spigen Rugged case and love it") but I do believe it pushes on the edges top and bottom edges. I also did not let it sit very long before I applied the case to the phone. I contacted them and without any issue they have shipped me a replacement for free so I cant complain to much.
The second film I ordered is Armorsuit which is another PET film. I applied it today and I have left the case off the phone so the edges can properly stick. I also used a hot air dryer after I applied the film. My thought was that It would help the adhesive stick to the screen. (It was also in the Iq shield email statement to me as an idea). After applying the Armorsuit the phone looks flawless and I think the screen has better clarity then IQ shields film. Armorsuit stuck perfect edge to edge and I am bubble free for now. I will be adding the case to the phone tomorrow after giving the film time to dry. I am hoping it doesn't peel at the edges because not using a case is not an option for me.
Ill keep everyone updated.
