With all of the Corp. functions on the Pro, you can use this phone with all of the Monthly security password changes etc. I do not have a Corp account, just a one man band. I would hate to have to remember a new password every month although we all should. It will have gmail and pop 3 I assume.

Though Motorola has done stupid things in the past (who of us didn't?), it would be very very stupid and unlikely for Motorola not to support non-Exchange users.

But then it may not warrants the price if you strip of those features.

I know, I just want a vertical keyboard ie candy bar style with a larger screen than my Bold with a great browser. I hope you can use this phone like any other Android.

I'm pretty sure it will. But then you may consider the CHARM if you can take the smaller and low-res screen.

I really doubt that they would require a password if there isn't a security policy from an exchange server that requires it.
