I Broke My Galaxy S7 Edge Recent Apps Button

I cleaned house the other day with app permissions on my galaxy s7. Shut the permissions off on apps that I saw no need for permissions in. Ie, some apps wanted access to contacts for no logical reason. It seems I shut off something that controls the recent apps button, because now when I press the button I am told there are no recently used apps. Does anybody know what application is responsible for the recent apps button?

That's strange. Have you tried starting from scratch and going to the App Manager, tapping Menu, and tapping Reset All App Preferences?

I am having the same problem. Resetting all preferences did not fix the problem

Same problem for me. I have done a factory reset and cleared cache partition with no success. I have also disabled almost all apps.
