I can hear caller but they can't hear me

Hi there,

My girlfriend and I have both just got the z3c, mine had been faultless but now when I call my girlfriend, she can hear me fine but all I can hear is a really loud rustling noise. It almost sounds like she's standing outside and its really windy.

We have tried calling her from other phones and it still does the same thing, she has only had the phone for about 2 weeks. Maybe a microphone issue?

Welcome to Android Central! It sure sounds like a mic issue. Can anyone hear her when she calls? How about when she changes to speakerphone, or uses a wired or Bluetooth headset? If those methods work, then either the phone mic failed, or the opening is blocked by something. Check the mic opening to make sure it isn't clogged with debris.

Hi there thanks for the reply, I tested the mic using the diagnostic app and it failed. Took the phone back to the shop today and they replaced it no questions asked
