I can only hear out of the internal speaker. what's going on?

ok so I have a problem with my note 4. I tried playing music and thought my volume was [language removed by Moderator] . but it turn out that EVERYTHING like phone calls, messages and music is coming from the speaker for my ear ( the one when u answer calls and put to your ear) not the one on the back of the phone. what the heck did I do and how do I change this back?

Welcome to Android Central! Sounds that normally play over the main speaker shouldn't play over the earpiece speaker (like game sounds or music). When the phone rings, do you hear it ring loudly over the main speaker, or does that also go through the earpiece speaker?

It's a bug, try restarting your device. If it doesn't help, try installing third party app
"Sound About" It might help.
