I cannot enable the backlight for navigation keys on my zte majesty pro phone

I am currently extremely frustrated. I purchased a ZTE majesty pro phone today & am having problems with the navigation lights for the navigation keys (home button, back button,etc.). I have no lights on these keys at all. In the settings there is NO OPTION whatsoever, to turn these lights on or off. There is no touch light duration key option at all under the settings. I tried downloading an app to help with the problem and still yielding absolutely no results AT ALL. Can somebody please tell me how to fix the problem? There are no options at all under the settings display or anywhere else for that matter! PLEASE HELP!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure the nav buttons are backlit? Some budget phones don't have a backlight for the nav buttons -- the ASUS Zenfone 2 was the same way.
