I have a Galaxy S4 that is flashed to Verizon Prepaid. I a trying tossed pictures and files, like songs to and from my computer, but when I plug my phone into the laptop I hear a "bing" but nothing comes up. On previous smarthphones Ive had, on the phone it would give me options to use as a disk drive ( where I could upload or download files to my phone) But I am not getting anything. I am new to the Galaxy series so I am not sure if its a setting or if its because its a flashed phone.
Can anyone help me to get files on my phone?
Thanks
jake

You could install Samsung Kies on your PC. That would install the needed USB drivers. then just open Windows Explorere on your PC and the phone will appear as just another folder. Copy & Paste.

I installed Kies on my laptop then plugged my galaxy s4. But a window pops up says device not supported. Try using Kies 3. But that says the same thing "device not supported" wanting me to use an older version or something. Just a loop where ni version will work.
I can only guess its because its flashed from u.s. cellular to verizon prepaid. And maybe the internals of the phone are changed. Or maybe I have no idea what im talking about lol
Any thoughts
Note: I'm running windows 8 ( hate it )

Installing Kies is just to get the USB drivers installed. The Kies program itself is usually less than exciting and often has bugs. Open your Windows Explorer after the installation and reboot is complete. Take a look for your phone now (plugged in via USB of course) and see if it doesn't show up as a folder.

Its actually weird I can see Samsung Android on my laptop, but nothing pops up on my phone like it should.
When I use the Kies it says Device not supported.
