I just got it today. I try to check for firmware updates, but the option is greyed out and it says an update is available, check notifications. But i don't seemto have any notification, at least not that i can find. Could someone help me out?

Thanks,

Joe

Look down at the bottom right of your screen, where the clock is. Then just click the clock. You'll see a notification that says an update is available. Click that.

Thanks Nick, but there is no such notification there when i click the clock icon- Weird.

Is notifications set to ON? Hit the wireless/clock icon twice. You should see Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Auto-rotate screen, Notifications (on or off) and Settings.

I did a factory reset and then i got the notification and was able to upgrade. Thanks for your help.

Why?

Did you try Settings->about Tablet ->System update ?

Yes, I tried that. It said there was an update available, and that I needed to check notifications, as I described in my first post. But there was no notification that allowed me to click on it and install the update. Since it was new anyway, I just did the factory reset. When it was done, the notification was right there in the bottom right, so it's all good now. Thanks again.
