i cant receive SMS and calls

Why can't I receive SMS and calls? My sim signal is ok and strong but i can't receive anything like SMS verification code and calls. What could be the problem? Is it the sim or the phone has the problem? Please help me

Does your phone otherwise work, for example with WiFi?

It could be the SIM itself or an activation/account management issue with your phone company. Call your carrier or stop into one of their stores.

Call another phone (I'm assuming that you can make calls, you just can't receive them). Look at the number that's making the call. Is that yours? Or is it a different number? They can mess up and give you one number and tell you a different one. (And, in some phones, put in the wrong one for the display.)

If that's not the problem, as KCAndroid said, check with your carrier - they could have set your account up wrong.
