I cant seem to send any text when I call sprint

When I am on the phone with sprint I cant ever seem to get my text to send, why is this/?

Text messaging does not transmit over the data network. You can send texts when you are on calls except when you're on the phone with Sprint. Incoming calls will also go directly to voicemail. I have no idea why they do that, but they always have. They probably don't want people saying they will be right back when you flip over to take an incoming call, or being distracted by text messaging.

This should be possible as text messages are sent over the voice channel, not the data channel. Didn't know Sprint was blocking it while on calls with them though - weird.

Ah. Yeah, i was always under the impressions that texting ran over the data network, not voice. So that was a misconception about how it worked on my part, and i'm certainly no network technician so doesn't surprise me that i was wrong.

Cory could you remove the Voice/data replies and place them into a new thread? Called something along the lines of simultaneous voice/data on the EPIC 4G.
