I cant unlock my Samsung because the keyboard stopped working

Anytime I try typing it doesn't work, instead it tells me, unfortunately samsung keyboard stopped working

Install Gboard and try it

Welcome to Android Central! Which Samsung device do you have? Try clearing the app cache and data for your keyboard app in Settings>Apps. If that doesn't help, then try booting into Safe Mode.

Can also try remotely unlock the device if your sign into your Samsung account.

@11B1P and @B. Diddy: I could be wrong but I think that the OP is unable to get into the phone, so cannot do either of the things that you suggest.

Good point. Safe Mode would therefore be the next step if a reboot doesn't help.

Go to play.google.com/store (on any other device), log in, and install another keyboard on your phone. If you're using Google's Gboard, install SwiftKey. If you're using SwiftKey, install Gboard. They're both good. (If you're using something else, use one of those.)
