I have been a blackberry fan for years, and a member at crackberry. But today i joined the future and got the EVO. And I love it. Just thought Id share it. Hope to see you all around the forums.

you've JOINED the revolution!

now you're playing with power!

congrats and enjoy!

Welcome, a lot of my friends have crackberrys for work and they are a great phone for emails and thats about it.. You sir have just made one of the best decisions for 2010 that you can. The EVo is an amazing phone and I have been most impressed with it since July 1st. Enjoy your phone !

I too am brand new here- I was a blackberry storm (gen 1) owner- and this phone by far continues to blow my mind. Granted the battery life isn't what my BB was- however this is a beast compared to it.

I'm still learning/ unlearning old BB habits. I'm thankful for this site. I have fully converted to google calander, gmail- and I will say I was banging my head against the wall.

I couldn't get my calanders to behave- and sync correctly on my phone- I am dedicating most of my day learning about this phone.

Any suggestions on threads that a NEW EVO (and NEW android) use could benefit from?

Cheers!

I don't see how people can say a bb is better for emails. It doesn't do full html emails and can't do large messages. Yes that must be better.

I was a blackberry user for a while before the Evo and I understand the email issues. With blackberry, the email came instantly-you didn't have to program the phone to download emails every so often. Also, I get sending errors every once in a while with the Evo where I will get a notification saying that the email could not be sent. That will happen a few times then it goes through. Evo email is by far more enjoyable, but blackberry email use is easier.

WTF? Gmail on the Android is instant push, fast, free, tightly integrated with Contacts/Calendar/Services, and portable/available to everyone. MS Exchange email is also instant push on Android.

Welcome aboard you will enjoy this monster.

Thanks for all the welcome... got the evo this morning... installed a ton of apps.. and then got a invisible shield on it which means I need to keep it turned off for like 12 hours :( ... Can't believe how fast 4g is

Holy cow...I love how Jorte looks! Thank you soo much!

I think a lot of my battery issues is because I play with this a LOT more than I did my blackberry. The most I ever did on my BB was play connect 4. Now- i'm addicted to Angry birds...and I'm also playing on the market.

I'm thankful to know about this site- Crackberry is how I learned about blackberry- so I'm certain this will be just the learning curve.

Thank you guys for all your help! You are the best!
