I don't believe Android does this (??). There are some apps that do backups, and your Google account saves a record of your purchased apps, but I think you need to redownload everything from the marketplace.

Got my apps on my Droid 2 that had been on my Droid. Unfortunately since the Fascinate isn't 2.2 I didn't get my apps on this.

But yeah, OP, congrats on the G2!! I love it!!
