I did an update from ATT on my LG G2. It rebooted and took me to TWRP screen.

I did an update from ATT on my LG G2. It rebooted and took me to TWRP screen. I have no idea what that is
or what it's for, and nor do I care. I just want to get back to my regular LG software. I tried hard reset, reboot, power off and on. And it's loops back to the same screen. I know some about phones, but i'm not this advanced. Can someone please give me advice?

I'm assuming I need to re-install the origial LG software? If so, how can I do that? and where can I find someone to help me do that bc I don't want to make things worse for my phone.

HELP!! I would really apprecite it!

Re: I did an update from ATT on my LG G2. It rebooted and took me to TWRP screen.

You updated a rooted ROM (which shouldn't have happened - the update should have stopped as soon as it found that the ROM was rooted and given you a "failed" notice).

You're correct - you have to reflash the stock ROM to update. You can use the Flash Tool or the Support Tool (I prefer the Flash Tool - it's simpler and I've never had it fail), and you'll have to find a ROM file. (It comes in two formats, one for the Flash Tool, one for the Support Tool.) Look in AT&T LG G2 - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com, LG G2 Rooting, ROMs, & Hacks - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com or AT&T LG G2 - XDA Forums for a link to a stock ROM file. (Even if it's an older one, as soon as it's running you'll get a notice that there's an update available. When that starts running, you'll get another update. You can probably install any 10G or later version and it'll eventually update to the latest one.)

Caveat 1: Lollipop up to 5.0.2 had a memory leak, so you want at least 5.1. If the latest update available is 5.0.2 or lower (and AT&T is about the slowest when it comes to updates - the Note 3 is still at 5.0), you probably don't want it.

Caveat 2. There my not yet be any way of rooting the version you update to.
