I had to try it. Let me tell you about today... My son had a nook color we were un happy with so I put CM7 on it for him... that took two days, no kidding, of failure before today I cracked the nut on my problem. After that I realized I had this Samsung fascinate sitting here not being used and I was all giddy from putting CM7 on the nook, so I thought why not look what is available for the fascinate. Turns out ICS was available and I put it on and it was absolutely amazing! Fast, smooth, everything we are looking for in the newest software. So, you say, who cares? This is in fact a Xoom forum dummy! Why are you posting this all here?

I will tell you why. The Fascinate was cool, but since I have a bionic, my fascinate is officially retired. That means it is basically a wifi only micro tablet. That's cool and all, but I want power behind my ICS... so there was my Xoom. All 4G upgraded and happily stock. Well, the roll of the CM7 and ICS just couldn't stop there. I had to go on and try it with a device I use. Well, after a lot of reading and research, I was armed with all the downloads and files I could find and I said, let's do it!

Couple mistakes here and there, but in the end, I am typing this on my ICS Xoom. Let me tell you guys the power that this thing has is not even close to unlocked with the stock build. I can't begin to scratch the surface on the speed increase. The thing just runs smoother. Feels slicker. Operates faster. You name it it is better. The design is sleeker. It is just really cool. I even sent my dad, also a Xoom owner, a picture of my about system page followed by the words read it and drool.

In the end... if you have a few hours to spare, a micro SD card or two and a micro SD card reader, go try this yourself! You will be happy!

awesome, glad you succeeded! There is a CM9 build for the xoom as well which is pretty epic, you should check out, then you will CM ICS on everything.

Hope you dig it... day one wifi Xoomer here (I didn't sign up for the soak test so I'll just have to live vicariously through everybody else for a week or two...)

The Xoom is a beast... love it with a passion that borders on obsession -- can't wait to fall in love all over again lol.

I will get together the links and stuff that I used. It will take me a little bit to get them together, so tomorrow I will post them for you. I gotta finish driving to my mom's for my sister's wedding. Tomorrow nightI should have some time to find it though.

Are you just posting links or can you make us a quick guide for a possible sticky thread? :)
