I did the Android update on my Galaxy S5 and now I don't see many of my contacts in my texting app. Where could they be?

I did the android update on my galaxy s5, and now i dont see many of my contacts in my texting app.

but they are in my gmail contacts...?
and ive unchecked the 'show mobile only in settings already.
any help out there is appreciated

Have you already tried a cache partition wipe? http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404

hi, thanks, i just did the cache partition wipe.
and when i goto create a new text message, (i use chomp sms), i type the first fe wletters, and alot of names do indeed come up with that first letters, but then when i add a thjird letter, the name im looking for doesnt list...?
so i looked at the details of the contact im looking for, and it is indeed listed as the mobile number, etc.. im about to try to reinstall chomp sms app.... ?

so i reinstalled the chomp and for some reson i still cant see a contact i have, but hes there in 'contacts'... ?

It's hard to troubleshoot the issue. There have been so many various issues mentioned about the S5's Lollipop update that it could be another one.

thanks, i did notice that the contact i cant look up i have listed as 2 initials, when i changed that to the full last name, now i can look it up when i type 3 letters out...
