I downloaded a QR Scanner to My S22 and it removed my home screen

Hi Everyone,

I downloaded a QR Scanner to My S22 and it removed my home screen, clock everything. I no longer had my home screen. I had to delete the QR and then it gave me an option to return to my Original Home Screen. I tried another QR also from the Play Store and the same thing happened. I used to have a QR Code but I deleted them all. I don't want to have their choices for a home screen. Has anyone experienced the same issue. Note what it seem to restore to ins UI Home.

Welcome to Android Central! Stay away from 3rd party QR scanner apps -- there's a high risk for additional adware or other unwanted junk. Thank you so much. I didn't know that and it worked. In all my years I used a QR App, but never had that issue until after my last update this week. Can I generate a QR Code this way too? Thank you again I am very grateful to you for your quick and accurate response.

Those QR scanner apps are brutal.

I just removed 6 of them off my Sister's Galaxy s21 Ultra. She swore she didn't install more than one. The descriptions on the corresponding play store page for each app were pretty much the same.

I swear they were multiplying like rabbits. Her s21U ran much smoother after they were gone.
