I dropped my phone in water and it stopped charging

[Android Central Question]

I dropped my phone (Samsung Galaxy J7 )in water and i dried it off before it got too soaked, i went to hit the power button to put it in sleep/rest mode so the water on the screen wouldn't activate the digitizer.

after i dried it off and opened it up it said not charging unable to charge use original charger (i ONLY use my original charger) and i used some tissue, ear swabs and blowing in it to clear the water out of the charging port but the notification wouldn't go away.

UPDATE: I restarted it and plugged it in, it works just fine

Welcome to Android Central! Glad it's working now, but don't be surprised if it starts acting up a few days or even weeks from now, since corrosion can be slow to occur. Make sure all of your important data is backed up or synced NOW.
