I dropped my phone in water, should I put it in cooked rice or raw rice?

Phone drop in water

I drop my galaxy note 4 phone in the snow this morning, I have already taken out the batt and the SIM card, the post i am reading from this forum advice me to put it in rice, please, is it the raw rice or cooked?, the whole phone or just the batt?
Please, help if you can.

Put the phone and battery in a bag of UNCOOKED rice.. Leave it in there for at least a good 12 hours.. Be patient, it might just work and leave no damage behind.

this does work in most cases.... Been able to save a few family Members phones by doing this. Never had to do this with a Note 4 though. Good luck!
