I enabled navigation bar to not disappear and it works with open apps,but not homescreen

I enabled navigation bar to not disappear and it works with open apps fine but not on the home screen, I had it where it stayed visible before on home screen , but not not now. Ifid deactivate the option on display settings which puts the nzvigation bar on top all the time without the pin dot option to bury it, but still is buruied2on my home screen, i know i csn make it visible all the time on the home screen cause i had it thsy way till yesterday when un pinned in to watch a video and then re pinned it and list it oh ..Note 8

You must not be using the stock Samsung launcher, because the navigation bar would only be fixed with that. If you are using the regular launcher, try rebooting your phone.
