I factory reset my rooted LG Optimus V and now it is bricked!help

So I rooted my optimus V 2.2.2 a while ago with gingerbreak and today for some reason, I decided to factory reset my phone. It resetted it was stuck on the LG logo. I took the battery put it back in and held down home, volume down, and the power button to get into recovery mode but when I do the screen goes blank and nothing happens. What can I do to unbrick my phone. Please help me and don't redirect me to other threads because I read all of them and don't' understand nothing. Please tell me what to do and if my phone is permanently bricked, please tell me so I can slam it against the wall.
