I failed to repair the screen

What is its purpose? If it is essential, where I can buy one? Thanks for help.

Can't swear to it but that looks like it may go to one of the antennas. You could be in serious trouble. The gouge marks...did you pry it open with a hard metal kitchen knife?

It was not a knife. The problem was that the glue was not hot enough and it was hard, so I accidentally cut the cable. Slipped and that was the mark left :'(
