I feel stupid.....

Hello everyone. So i feel stupid because I'm kinda new at rooting and I need to install the ClockworkMod Recovery menu. I attached it to the root of the SD but it will not flash. Any suggestions? Mucho appreciation

Best thing you can do is read read read. The first link is an app called flash image gui and the 2nd is a recovery image. Both these links are in the sticky at the top of this forum. (HOW TO) simplified root + recovery + rom

Use flash image GUI. Use it to flash the IHO recovery from here. No one is stupid! We were all where you were at one point in time

ClockworkMod works just fine on my 2.2.1 but it dont work on the new 2.2.2. I just dont flash roms from there, I like to get them from the source. Long story short clockworkmod is fine, just use a different one on a 2.2.2 version.

Well it depends on which CWM you put on your phone. The one from ROM Manager, for example, is outdated, and gives a black screen upon boot. However, the IHO Recovery is based on CWM, but is stuffed with something (xionia related I think?) To make it work on newer-screened Optimus'. (Optimi?)
