Question I get no notification popups on adroid devices

Hi,
I have 3 android devices all samsung , na S10, S22E and a tablet.
On none of these devices I get a notification popup.
( I only see them in Whatsapp, but nothing else)
I am trying to send a notification vrom Homeassistant with an image attached.
I receive the notification, I hear the sound but I do not see a pop-up
When I swipe down I see the notificatin list and I see the text title of the notificating with a tiny thumbnail of that image.
But I want that notification tot pop up and show that attached image.
I have been trying for days now and all my searches wit google result in the most opvius causes.
I heb notifications enabled and also tried short notifications and detailed notification
I also have tried floating popups ( Balloon and smat) without succes
So I am puzzeled, what could be the cause for this behavior?

Is this happening for any app? Or just the HomeAssistant notification? Have you tried to boot up into Safe Mode and see if you get the pop-up there? Do you have any apps that may be 'intercepting' notifications (like customizers or plug-ins for GoodLock)? Does it happen both while using the phone (i.e. screen on) or when locked/screen-off?

I do not have many apps wich give me notifications. But I think my mail app ( typeapp) also has the same.
I also tried to message to address the reolink app but also this doen not pop-up
It happens on 3 devices and I only used the tablet sofar for watching video in the plane.
I do not know how to boot to save mode.
I happens in boot sleeping and active situations

Are you sure you don't have Do Not Disturb active on any device? And if you go to Settings/Notifications/App Notifications the apps you're having issues with are set to allow Pop-up?

Welcome to Android Central! You've also looked for an option to "Pop on screen" in the Settings>Apps menu, after selecting the app in question and then going to the Notifications section? Make sure to tap the words of the notification category in question, not the toggle switch.

Yes I tried short and detailed popustyle
And I do not have do not disturb active
I wil add some images THe first is frm my tablet, the other from my S10

You using a VPN? Can't tell by your screenshot

I only use a VPN on my desktop,
Do not expect that that could be an isssue, but to be sure I closed the VPN and when I disable the VPN , nothing changes.

No on the desktop it wouldn't be issue on device also make sure no app cleaner's, Malwarebytes , AD guards they can be problem for app notifications

It's a bit tricky for me because those images are low-res, and also I can't read that language.

Ahh sorry, I must make new pics while language is set to englisch and a better resolution I did not realize this was hard to read.

I hope thist will give a better picture, and I heve set the language to English
AlsoI added an image what I see when I swipe down on my tablet.

This is what I expect to see as popup on a notification.
BWT I can confirm that I can see notifications from Whatsapp and onedrive ( I just have enabled all notification and those two I have seen SO part of the notifications are coming though

Try going into settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>reset app preference and see if that helps.

In your settings to show all icons you have it set to numbers try changing to all

In the Notification Pop-up Style menu, try also selecting Brief, and then select Detailed again, to see if toggling it triggers anything.

Thanks all also @mustang7757 and @B.Diddy , now I finally get something that i canwork with This did the trick for the S10 and I got it working on the S20FE
I even got a separate notofocation sound working for it.
What is missing now, is that it will pop-up on the screen when the phone is black ( locked)
If I get that working it would be great.
I tried to det it With
lock screen "Show content" but then it still is not visible!

But a good step forward

Now trying to get the tablet working
that is running andoid 8.1.0
I looked for an update but it seems there is no more recent version available.
I hope I can also het that one working

i think I foud a next step, but cannot get ik to work at the moment:
I tried to add it to the action and teh screen pops on but there is no notification
I tried to add it at a 2nd action on ringing but now the screen does not switch on.
