YES I got ICS this morning and I want my Gingerbread back. Having a nightmare doing the most simple of things like receiveing email notifications. Or even receiveing email of any type besided gmail. Now that I have a Global phone, but I no longer have the option to turn off 4G. Where I work, 4G service is not real good so down to 30% by 11am after leaving the house at 7am with 100%. I usually get home in the afternoon with 60-70%. I haven't seen anything that has gotten better.

Maybe after a day or so to figure things out it might get better, but fo now I will say it again, I WANT MY GINGERBREAD BACK!!!

I'll trade you. Give me your ICS and you can have my GB.

Thanks dmcman73! That did the trick. You have to wonder why they took away the CDMA option and gave us the Global instead? Why couldn't we have both?

As far as the email goes, the ICS has more incoming and outgoing email settngs and it took a while, but I finally found where they needed to be to send and receive mail. I guess the default options for the new settings were not correct for my exact email server. All is up and running now.

Now I can stop worrying about the necessary work stuff and get to the fun new stuff.

No flash back to GB.
Bootloader is different. Radio firmware different.
ICS is a one way upgrade.

Yea..everyone isnt gonna like it. My kids mother has a Nexus S...and she has been blocking the update for months. She had it once, then her phone got broke. New phone and she's happy to be back on GB...lol.

so if you have ics on your android phone can you flash it back to gingerbread? nothing works on ics on my phone and my APN IS BLANK :=(:'(:'(:'(:'(

Give it up you all just not going to be able to go back to GB and Verizon and the phone companys need to stop updating these phones as it always sucks and messes up phone. If they would test a little longer before releasing that might help. People about Apple taking so long for updates well when they do release the update works with very few complaints, I know because we have IPhone in family and I have gone to many workshops for androids and have many co workers that have IPhone. So get over the fact that ICS sucks I think we are stuck with it.

It didn't mess up my phone. And ics definitely doesn't suck. Such a better ui than any previous android os, and it's way smoother. Now I want some jelly bean action ;);)

Before someone accepted the update they should have checked into what it changed. Everyone complained how long it was taking now everyone is complaining that more testing should have been done. Can't have it both ways. I have had absolutely no problems with the update and really like the changes.

Not everyone got that luxury. My fiance's Razr got it without the option to decline. She went to bed one night on GB and woke up to a very fubared ics when the OTA update came through. Thankfully a quick trip to the Verizon store and a manual re-flash of ics fixed it.
