I got it, and I like it!

wow! that gives me such nostalgic vibes
And also I immediately remember al those anime series - it seems in japan, flip phones are the most popular ones. I think that's because they look kinda cute, and this model looks particularly good (and funny sometimes) with lol those toys and accessories

I love Anime! Have you watched RWBY? It's not Anime but there are some Anime-like elements to it. Anyway, they have these smartphones called "scrolls" that you can slide open and closed, it's so cool. The Flip seems like a step in the right direction!

Here's what the scrolls look like and how they open and close:

I have had mine since it came out a few months ago (was one of the first to get it in the UK). It's as good as new apart from a few scratches that are because of me dropping it... Would have been the same with any other phone imho. Everything is working as well if not better thanks to software updates as it did the first day.
The only issue I have with it is that some Web pages don't resize with the odd screen ratio and I lose some of the stuff on the edges unless I browse those pages in landscape.
Apart from that I love the fact that it fits in any pocket I want, I don't need to open it to take a picture, answer a call, pay, etc... The outside screen is small and could be improved but not an issue at all for me.
Finally a phone which has something really different than any other phone and worth upgrading. I got bored of the usual bigger screens, better camera, and all that stuff. Most phones from 2 years ago are really not that different than the latest ones and 99% of people never use the new functions anyway.
Better battery, sensors and more apps that use the fold screen would be great but I am VERY happy that I got it.

It sounds like you are really loving it - that's awesome! A foldable phone is definitely unique and it's a super cool concept. Enjoy!

Got my Z Flip delivered today. So far...so good. No regrets at all. I wanted something different for awhile after holding slabs for years.

The Z Flip is very nice. The crease that's all the tech reviewers are talking about is non-existent to me...it's not a big deal at all. I didn't even notice it after awhile.

You could have grabbed the Jitterbug 😁

Yeah my daughter brings me her s20 ultra over and says she's good with her Galaxy Z-flip.
It's a beautiful phone.
But now I got the Note 10 plus, s20 ultra and my iPhone 6.
Decisions 😡

Yes it does, 1 Year.

This phone isn't made for the Person that has their Phone on am Umbilical Cord. The Small screen is for convenience. If the Outside screen is going to do all these amazing things because it's bigger, what's the point?

I for one agree with Others that say it helps keep the phone out of conversations.

If you need to always be ready to react to any Messages or Social Media, probably not the right choice.

The fact that it clamshells means it does a better job of protecting The Screen than any other phone.

The Fold and Z Flip are so dramatically different in their implementation that it seems like most folks would fall pretty hard in one camp or the other. I can definitely see the appeal of having a phone that unfolds into a tablet form, and if the Fold had a more svelte form factor, I would probably have picked that up last year.
Noo looking back.....I use both actually. Never ever thought I'd be carrying 2 devices but for my needs, works great. Work, games, media fold and personal device flip.
I'm def considering a trade in for both devices to the 6. The fold may have a wider outer screen and same with the flip.
I honestly dont think I'll ever go back to slabs ever again. Love the fold flip form factor.
