I am very surprised. I haven't had any of the issues with Atrix that I have been reading about. I will continue it's test run but so far this week I am well pleased.

Same here.

Ok getting used to a touch screen again and watching the battery disappear is odd but no real issues with the phone itself.

Not been exactly blown away though either.

Giving it a few days with the stock I install before I start playing.

I'm way to technologically ignorant to play with rooting.

Mine is working fine as well. I came from a rooted debranded X10 and have a little problem due to the data cap and some other languages.

I can't decide if the Atrix is enough of an upgrade to keep it.

I'll add to the list of happy campers with the Atrix..had mine now for just over a month..happy i went with it.

Nice to see some positive feedback after all the negative stuff I've seen on the Atrix particularly when first introduced. It's one of the Android phones that I'm considering when I'm eligible for an upcoming upgrade (currently BB9700). I'm waiting to see if HSPA+ is turned on by ATT in the next month or two and then see how these ATT "4G" phones perform. But I'm lured by the HTC Thunderbolt and its performance. How has the Motoblur experience been? I don't do social feeds so I'm wondering if it'll just be an interference. I'm impressed by the HTC Sense UI.

Im actually pleased with the Atrix also. Ive owned the Dell Streak, Samsung Captivate, HTC Aria, and now the Atrix. The only thing ive liked was the Captivates Screen. Super Amoled is a BEAST. Other then that, no other phones had the power that the Atrix has. The Atrix has its gripes. Hot battery, connectivity issues, No root with the latest update but those things wont shy me away from the phone. If it was something I seriously cant stand then I would move on. But I refuse to give up on a phone that is steller compared to the other Android devices on the market. I was so impressed with Motorolas quality that I bought the Xoom. And The Xoom is top notch. My expierence is happy. Im confident that Motorola and AT&T will take care of the small gripes with the Atrix, and Moto with the Xooms update path.

watching the battery disappear is odd

That's one of this phone's let-downs. If you quit an app, it's still loaded in memory and running unless you use the auto-end. At this task, I've found it is not quite so "auto"... Now, unless I'm in a rush, I usually use the task manager to kill my apps after I'm done with them. Doing so has increased battery life a lot for me. Killing the Wi-Fi, Blue tooth and GPS radios when they are not required will also help quite a bit.

Aside a few minor minor quibbles, though, I am also quite happy with this phone. Most of my expectations have been surpassed, which is not common from a tech toy. I'm quite happy also.

Just took a trip using the gps and navigation. After 700 miles, all I can say is AWESOME. Couldn't say that about my previous iPhone or the Captivate. I love this phone!

I just tested mine out yesterday on a 100 mile trip. It was very quick to get a fix.

On the subject of battery, I am actually pleasantly surprised with the battery life. Other than my BB, I don't believe any if my SmartPhones, Win Mobile and Android, had better battery life.

I am extremely happy with my Atrix, coming from a iPhone 4 I can tell you that this device has proven itself to be fantastic. I love how fast it is, the battery life honestly is on par with what I was getting with my iPhone 4, and I love that I am able to customize my phone "you listening apple?" ... I thought I would never leave my iPhone after all I switched from Verizon to at&t for it, in the end I am glad I did. I think the Atrix is the best android phone on the market. At least for now :-)

My Atrix is my first Android phone after living with a Blackberry for the last few years. Still learning the Android way of life and really can't say anything bad about this phone.

I'm loving my Atrix this is the only Android phone I have ever had that could last 15 hours with normal use on a single charge. Also if your like me with my phone sitting beside me with a laptop in my lap being able to connect to the phone using the Phone Portal is great. I can read and respond to txt messages on my computer which just makes this phone even more useful for me.

I haven't had battery problems either. It lasts much longer than my Inspire does.

Sent from my Atrix cuz that's the way I roll. Whatever that means.

I am another iPhone convertee (word?). Had a 3gs though not a 4, and after rumors of the 5th generation being delayed, and constantly having to jailbreak, not update untila non-tethered jail break, slow down of the system, etc... Decided to finally jump for an Android.

Have always loved being able to customize and tweak my gadgets without the need for extra steps. While I know you can root for even more stuff, I haven't done so yet because just out of the box, I have all the functionality I want and use except for tethering.

Have only had my Atrix for a couple weeks, but I am loving it so far.

Over the past year and a half I have used:

Blackberry Strom 2
Blackberry torch
Blackberry tour
Moto Droid
Droid Incredible
Samsung Facinate
Iphone 4

So I have been on all the major OS's. The Atrix is the finest device I have used to date. The speed and power of the Atrix is simply awesome. The 4 inch screen is the sweet spot. The 16gb of internal + the 16gb of external give me all the storage I could want. The battery life, while not quite as good as the Iphone 4, is very good. In short, the phone rocks. There will always be quirks (fingerprint scanner can be a pain some times) but that comes par and parcel with any phone.

In short, if Android is your cup of tea, the Atrix will fit the bill.

Then there is the Infuse 4G comming soon. Samsung, 4.5" Super Amoled + Screen. I bet thats gonna be tasty. It sure looked sepurb on my Captivate. And that phone is real thin to. 1.2GHZ. Ill have to think about that one hard when it comes out. Cause I might make the jump if its sweeter lol

the GPS integration is what stole me away from my iPhone, google really get's it! ... And the speed of the atrix makes it a truly wonderful experience.

coreymcl,

I notice you have/had the Atrix and the Tunderbolt. Besides the Thunderbolt 4G speeds, which one do you like the best.

I am trying to decide between the those two phones.

Thanks,

Joe
