I have a dead phone with a red flashing light, how can I fix it?

I recently smashed the screen on my HTC Desire 610 and it has been completely drained of battery for a while. I got the screen fixed but now when I try and turn the phone on, nothing happens. The screen lights up a bit when I plug the charger in, and the LED light flashes red, but that is all. Help??

Welcome to Android Central! Leave it plugged into a wall outlet for at least 4-6 hours before trying to power on again. If nothing happens, the battery might have completely died. See if you can get it replaced.
