I have a LG V30, like to timestamp my pictures I take

I've got a LG V30 which I would like to be able to timestamp all the pictures I take. I know that the date can be found yet seems that the date is changed when uploading or changing the pictures to a different phone. Also is there a way to some how timestamp pictures downloaded from online and Facebook without having to go look at ever picture and use screen capture and write it on, which makes me have 2 pictures of everything. Like I said, Windows and guess Android also changed the dates saved on them. I've got pictures on my computer Windows 10 which taken 8 or more years ago and the details or info when looked at it has changed the date.

I know this is not Windows site but Android does the same thing. For me I don't want to use my memory for dates of pictures, even remembering years they are taken I don't care to do that because my memory is not good with names or dates, that's why I have liked computers and phones. But now it just seems like something they like screwing up. Because the original date shouldn't be changed on the file no matter how many different computers, phones, or online it goes too.

So if the LG camera app not do it, then what is the best app I could use to timestamp and work like the LG V30 app without me losing anything that app does.

There are two sets of dates:

- file system dates, controlled by the OS, on Android they change every time the file is copied or moved. This applies to all files of all types. (Windows does the right thing and preserves the file system dates.)

- picture creation dates (date created, date edited, etc). These dates are contained in the EXIF data of the images. Your default camera on the LG V30 should be creating the files names based on the creation date of the pictures and videos.

Some picture viewer apps correctly look at the EXIF data for the dates, while many wrongly look at the file system dates. If you need one that does it correctly try this one:

Some websites, like Facebook, purposely remove the EXIF data from images so when you download them all the info about the image is lost.

If you are looking to "print" the creation date on the pictures like those nasty cameras from the 1980s did, there are apps in the Play Store that will do this for you.
