I love the Tech21 for the protection. Charging works great on three different brands!

You can charge through about 1/4" pf plastic or rubber, and no case is that thick, except possibly a few folio (wallet) cases, so you can charge through all of them. (I've been charging through an Otterbox for a few years, and that's a pretty thick case.)
