I have a samsung galaxy s7 edge Verizon sm-g935v but straight talk is my carrier

I am not a verizon customer however i have a sm-g935v and i can not get voicemail notifications i has searched online and the only solution I've seen so far is to disable visual voicemail how do I disable visual voicemail when I'm a Straight Talk customer Straight Talk is my carrier also when I try to send a text message it says sending but does not send I have tried to clear my cache both in recovery and in app but still does not work. How can i fix this problem I called Straight Talk time and time again they fix it for 5 minutes and then it does the same thing again and after about 12 hours of spending on the phone with straight talk about had it please someone help.

Welcome to Android Central! Open your Phone app, then Menu>Settings>Call Settings>Voicemail. Is voicemail set up properly for Straight Talk (and not Verizon)?
