I have an EVO, does Vibrent group contacts?

I love the way the EVO lets me group my contacts using gmail contacts. I have business, friends, etc and it looks the same exact way on my phone. I went to the Tmobile store and it looked like there was a group name thing but I read in some other forum that it doesnt integrate in google is this true? If so thats SO *** backwards

The whole group thing is odd. I can create a group but can't assign anyone to that group. I had groups on my hero and they carried over but none of the contacts are in the groups. When I click add member, it shows no contacts.

To add contacts to groups I think you either have to:
a) have contacts saved to phone, rather than gmail or sim.
b) do it within gmail if you have contacts saved there. * just tried and nothing :/*
c) you could create folders for your home screen and put contacts in them.
* I do not know how (if possible) to rename folders.

Personally, once I have more pics for my contacts I'll start putting them in a folder on my home screen. Right now I just have a shortcut to the girlfriend.
