I have an HTC desire 510 and it won't charge, how can I fix this??

I have an HTC desire 510 and it wont charge?

i have tried using several different usb chargers to charge my phone. It will show that it is charging when the battery is no longer in the phone. When I place the battery back in the phone it will nolonger say it is charging?

A damaged or dirty USB port perhaps? Or it could simply need a new battery.

-Dirty and/or broken charger
-Battery
