I have an S6 Edge that is showing a permanent red light, what could it mean?

I have an S6 Edge that is showing a permanent red light,

there's no display on the screen, nothing will show, and I can't seem to turn it on or off.
When I connect the charger nothing changes. Any ideas??

Welcome to Android Central! The battery or the motherboard may have failed. Have you tried charging it on a wall outlet for at least 4-6 hours, then pressing and holding Power for at least 15-20 seconds? If that doesn't work, then contact Samsung for warranty repair.
