I have got a Samsung s5 and upgraded to Lollipop, but my notification setting don't apply to changes

When i try and change the notification setting for the system and apps, its doesn't seem to recognize them or change, I've tried reinstalling the apps and restarting the phone after changes, but no luck. I have tuned of vibrate for Gmail, but it doesn't change, same for WhatsApp. Any help/suggestions??

Welcome to Android Central! Try wiping the cache partition, which can be helpful after major updates: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404
