I have the MeMo hd7, purchased on Ebay. How can I remove the original "owner",

I have added a user account and have access to both the "owner" and my own setup.
I would like to remove the original "owner and replace with my account.

Go into settings and backup and reset.
Preform a factory reset on the device to wipe all the old data off it.
