I have to choose!

Help me...I have the original droid...Im switching to the incredible or the X...why should I choose the incredible over the X? Or vice versa? Could any one offer two or three reasons for either? Im really torn here!

Both are great phones. I went with the X over the Inc because I kept hearing the X's battery life was better.

Basically two differences in the phones.
1- size. X is much larger than Incredible
2- blur vs. Sense. And within the different OS skins are many subtle differences. You should go to a Verizon store and play with each phone for about 30 minutes. Do the stuff you commonly do with your phone and see which one feels more comfortable.
They are both amazing phones so you will be happy with either.
Last thought, if you like swype keyboard, it is stock on X and it is awesome.

It really comes down to what your using it more for. I have both and because I'm always on my web browser I use the dx alot more .. However, htc sense + rooted froyo kills moto blur anyday.

I had the Incredible and went to the X. Yes sense is better then Blur but you can make that a non issue with Launcher Pro. As I have owned both my opinion is the X blows away the Incredible. With that being said I was happy with the Incredible as well but since I switched I have not looked back.

I have both phones currently using them both .Some features are laid out different and the htc sense and moto blur but basically the same phone

the incredible has :
amoled screen( or it did might have been switched now would be worth asking if it mattered)
froyo 2.2
3.7" screen
soft touch buttons below screen
fits comtable in relax fix jeans pocket(or clipped on holster)

Battery can be short some tweaking tho and I was getting 14-16 hours on a stock battery moderate to light use

I did get an 2150mah battery and no more battery issue Had over 44 hrs on (still 20%) before I recharged it

slideIt or ultra keyboard is close to swype and both are free in the market to try (paid versions as well)

the dx:
moto blur(can be fixed by installing lancherpro+ makes the phone sooo much better)
bigger screen
decent battery life (24-26 hrs) stock battery moderate to light use
hard touch physical buttons below screen
froyo2.2
can fit in levis relax fit jeans pocket ,but you know its there ,lol, better to have a clip on case .
comes with swype pre installed

both phones have no lags for me I am not rooted on either ,til I installed lancher pro and then added it to launcher pro plus I liked the incredible better ,now they are more equal again. I would not have gave my incredible up for the dx tho I just was able to get them both the dx a month later then the incredible

-really crappy (buggy and unrefined) OS compared to sense (not to mention 2.2)
-locked bootloader (if you want to mess with your phones and roms, just stay away from the x)

+(slightly) easier to pocked based on size
+(when i had it at least, i haven't seen the new screens) nice amoled display
+sense
+unlocked bootloader
-bad battery life (for me i was getting barely one day with the extended [slim] battery from seidio
-no accessories really (you can find some cases, but that's basically it)

i ended up giving my inc to my sister and getting a dx, but now with my rom addiction, i'm tired of the rollercoaster ride that is the bootloader unlock story and i'm going to try the fascinate (bing and all) next.

which isn't that abnormal for me. i've had every android verizon has released aside from the ally & the devour.

I wanted to like the Facinate... You can still use Google etc...

Folks went on and on about how beautiful the screen was.

While I do agree the colors looked rich albeit a tad over saturated, and the blacks were MUCH better than others, I found that the text was a bit blurry, not bright enough, and had a very pronounced blue tint mostly noticeable on web sites and email/texts

As much as I wanted an unlocked phone... It was a huge deal breaker for me

The DX was the better choice IMHO

I chose the X because of the screen size and the battery life, but that was just my preference. This is kind of like asking us which color should be your favorite, red or blue? You just need to play with both and pick the one you like the best. They are both great devices.

The Dinc is probably less likely to get Gingerbread than the X just based on the fact that the Dinc is 4 months older.

How important is the camera to you? The Dinc's camera is much better than the DX. My wife has a Dinc and it blows away my DX any day. That being said, I absolutely love the screen size of the DX and would choose that over having a better camera. Is gaming important? Then you need the X.

If you go with the Incredible, ask the sales rep to order you an HTC Ozone battery for it, it should give you a day, and it fits under the OEM cover.

I have said it many times, the great thing Verizon is doing is offering a great selection. There is a form factor and device for everyone. Try them both at the store, and see which one you like more.

If you use it as a phone the X gets very good reception and calls are very clear.
