Android Central Question

I know it sounds crazy, but whenever I wake up my Samsung Galaxy S7, I hear it snap a picture. It's just a quick shudder sound, but it's definitely there. And it doesn't happen EVERY time I wake up the phone. Just maybe every 3rd or 4th time. Also, no pictures ever show up in the gallery. It's driving me crazy! If I don't find an answer soon, then I'm just gonna have to go ahead and check myself into the nearest psych ward. 🤪

If no pictures show up, it's not the camera.

The "shutter sound" is just a sound file, there's no mechanical shutter in the camera. (And you can't hear the phone electronically accepting the signal from the camera sensor.) Something is triggering the sound file to run - you have to figure out what. What's common to the times it happens, that isn't when it doesn't happen. Wake from lock as opposed to "wake" from a black screen? (There are two times, one to just blank the screen, one for locking.) Some app running in the background? In order for someone to determine what the commonality is, they have to have the phone - and we don't, so we can't, so you have to.
