I Hope Samsung is Watching!

Over the past year and a half I've noticed a major shift in the tablet (generic for all brands) exposure on television shows and ads. Time was you would only see Ipads on commercials and shows. Even companies selling stuff would tell you to find their app in the App Store. The tides are turning and now the majority of ads, shows etc are showing, promoting Android devices especially in the tablet arena. Google Play store is touted heavily in front of App Store. It's also happening with phones. This is a great sign, especially for us Android loonies.
I say this in the hopes that Samsung is or will develop a replacement for this Note Pro 12.2 Tablet. This has been a work horse from day one. It's not perfect but no device is. However, it plays music, videos, does documents extremely well, email, text (I can even make phone calls from it through my Verizon Message+ app). Great for Internet browsing as well as my work websites and apps.
I'm not having any issues with my tablet but coming up on two years old, it will be behind the times soon. The electronics field advances so fast. There are smaller tablets with awesome screens and all that but don't offer the use of a SPen.
Would like to see a new 13" tablet with latest OS (Android 7?),128gb internal, SD slot (200gb card capable), SPen a must, USB C, Bluetooth 3 or newest.
I don't know what the braintrust at Samsung has in mind but I hope they listen to the consumer.

I'm with you in hoping we'd see an updated Note tablet... but I don't think it will happen, at least not this year. Samsung DID release a 'Note' tablet already this year. Unfortunately, it's Windows-based, and it's getting high praise everywhere. And for good reason: I used it on a Microsoft store this weekend and the thing is very nice. However, packing the punch to run full-on Windows came at the expense of a thicker device, an uglier 'S-Pen', and a pretty much Surface-stand + keyboard clone.

If I could have a device as thin and light as the Tab S (not the S2, I didn't like the change in screen ratio), with AMOLED screen, updated internals AND an S-Pen, then I'm sold. Preferably running Android, but if they can pull those specs off with a full-on Windows experience, then that would be just fine.

The tablets they released are nice but I have a lot of time invested in my Android apps and setup. There are some I use that aren't available for Windows but I do have Office on my tablet. It works great for my needs and they constantly update it. I've not owned a PC or laptop for over 3 years. It's been all tablet for business and personal. Maybe Samsung will use the Windows based tablet and adapt it for Android, with a better SPen of course.
Carlo Villa, it looks like you have the same Bose speakers I have. They work great with the tablet. My cat likes to sleep on the sub woofer, until I start blasting AC/DC.

I cant believe the note 12.2 still has some users...just get an ipad pro and a apple pencil...voila and you have a completely updated stable device with notetaking capability. The 12.2 note is just archaic at this point.

Holy hell, anyone who thinks apple can compete in any sense in an enterprise-level professional capacity has lost their ******* mind. Its a tablet for college kids to stream youtube and porn.

You pay upwards of $1,000 for a IPad Pro and have to shell out another $100 for a stylus Pen. It's still Apple crap. No thank you!

My tablet still works and I would replace it with another android tablet but never an IOS device. I have an iPad that is collecting dust.

Oh by the way, I got so many compliments on the plane about my tablet, the guy sitting next to me had an iPad and was also watching movies and he loved the way the movie looked on my screen, he even said Samsung makes great stuff. Lol

Came here to see if there were any rumors of a new Note tablet (I have the Note 10.1 (original) and the Note Pro 12.2). Thought I kept missing it on Samsung's site, but I guess not :( So yes, I too hope Samsung reads user forums.

I have the Note Pro and iPad Pro 12.9 and you cannot compare the two. I went to Best Buy today to compare quality.... just the way Samsung vs Apple tablets feel and Apple feels so much better the Samsung Tablets feel so cheap when compared. This is coming from an Android die hard and this tablet is my first Apple Product.

I love my Note Pro but it is outdated and showing its age. The speakers and screen on the iPad pro are great.... I've only had it for a few days but you can get wifi models on eBay for 650. I generally use tablets for office and media.

And before people call me an Apple fanboy my current cell phone is the Nexus 6p an amazing phone.... my wife has the Pixel C tablet also amazing and my previous phone was the Priv and BB Passport.

Understandable, hopefully the iPad Pro line continues to push forward. I'm interested in using it for note taking (notability looks neat) but worry about cross platform compatibility. Things are just easier for me using Android devices. Especially like file browsing, microsd storage and flash drive support on my note pro.
