After 2 weeks of constant research, 4 store visits, and more you-tube videos than I can remember, I finally bit the bullet and purchased the Note 8. The key factors for me was I needed something under $500 that I could use to be productive at work, on the road, and at home, view my photos, and that had a GPS. The Note 8 fit the bill. Hopefully I made the right choice. I ordered it with a 32gd microsd card, as well as one of these for viewing photos from a regular SD card.

Hopefully this will be money well spent and make me more efficient at work and home.

I own the Note 8 along with the Note 2. The ability to take handwritten notes in meetings, and then store and organize them electronically makes the Note line remarkably productive.

My hope is to replace all the stray sheets from yellow legal pads around my office. It will be worth the money just to keep a running to-do list and be able to e-mail notes and dictation straight to my secretary to save them in digital files.

I'm glad you're enjoying your new Note 8! The S-pen and surprisingly good handwriting recognition justified the price for me. I'm very happy with mine and use it extensively at work and home. It was definitely worth the plunge!
