A friend sent me a message on the chat program "it's u in the video!? u should be ashamed of urself" followed by the link. I (being the stupid impulsive teenager I am) clicked on the link. Firefox proceeded to warn me but out of curiosity I ignored it. It brought me to a facebook login page.

I was curious so I typed in some random character with a @yahoo.com extension and the page redirected me to facebook itself. Probably sent the bs user info I sent it to some remote server or something. Changed all my info just in case, my curiosity is going to be the death of me.

You are right about the data being sent remotely to someone who you had no intention of supplying access. So you are lucky that you made one good choice in the entire process which was to use fake login details when it prompted you to log in. However, as much as I hate to say it, if you had supplied correct information either this time or in the future, I would feel no sympathy considering you very clearly just posted that you were aware of the potential risks/scams involved but did it strictly out of your own curiosity.

so you post the link to the video as well as the URL of the fake FB page on 4Chan and let nature take it's course. nobody takes out internet garbage like other internet garbage :p

I was well aware of it being a fake login the entire time. The friend who sent me the message would never speak like that (Helps to know people I guess) and it just reeked of the typical ploy to draw in an insecure teenager. You said you wouldn't give me any sympathy, that's fine I never wanted any to begin with. What I did was stupid, I am well aware, but I really don't care if I have to shut down my Facebook page anyway.

That's why I didn't post the link here. I don't need A|C being attacked with a DDOS or some person losing control of their account. Just wanted to post an interesting story. Personally, I can't stand 4Chan so your suggestion ain't have bad.

Well, that's why I didn't post the link here. Also, I don't expect and sympathy. When I went to the site I was expecting some sort of script to attempt to run or something so if my computer messed up, it would be my fault. Things like this interest me, and I was experimenting.

lol. I'm not knocking you, I'd have done the same thing.

I just would have dumped the links in 4Chan and told Anon to have a field day on that server, in effort to wipe it out :p

hehe, the sympathy thing was to the other poster. Not hating on him but I didn't come here to play victim. 4Chan deserves something worse than that link.

I wasn't attacking you or anything or being mean. You clearly pointed out that you knew it was a scam. So all I was saying was that based on that, IF you had used your real logon credentials, THEN i wouldn't have felt sympathy for you since you knew you were being scammed. But you showed no signs of ignorance or stupidity. Only morbid curiosity. No worries. :)
