I just received a check from Sprint for $50

So I just received a check from Sprint for $50, but without any indication as to what it's for.

It does mention enjoying my new phone, so it's not related to the other phone or hotspot I have on the account... but otherwise just talks about features on their website.

Anyone have any idea what this is for? It's not the rebate.

I'm not complaining or anything hehe, but I'm just curious.

Are you new to Sprint? Long-time customer that signed a new contract to get the new phone mentioned? I'll watch for one of these since I just signed a contract for an Evo 4G, though I can't honestly say I expect to get a check!

They called and offered me $50 to extend my contact. I told them no as I wanted to get an Evo and that would have killed my discount on it. Also, it might be a mail in rebate for when you bought the phone. Some of the Sprint stores fill it out and mail it in for you.

It is the refund for your deposit. I'm guessing that you paid fifty dollars a year ago when you started service with them.

No I didn't have to put up any deposit. I looked into it further and realized it was just for buying the 3G/4G hotspot a while back. I had totally forgotten about it.
