Android Central Question

Hi

All my apps have transparent backgrounds, so you can see through everything. The annoyance is magnified because there is something ghosting above the wallpaper but below the icons, so I get these icons hovering in the background adding to the annoyance...

HELP?

Let me see if I understand this correctly as there seems to be a misunderstanding of terms -
On the home screen, everything looks normal?
When you open an app you can still see the home screen through the app?
Is it YOUR homescreen you can see through the app?

The idea of screen burn-in that was mentioned before is that a certain image spent long enough on the screen that it's stuck around and you now can't get rid of it. If you take a screenshot of one of the app that this happens to and (and this is key) view it on another device do you see this same issue? If you DO NOT then the issue is screen burn-in as it's a hardware issue.

sort off, on the home screen there is slight ghosting of an app like google assistant, but thats less iritating..

What is more so, if I open an app, I can see the homescreen through the app. Now If I take a screen shot its not transparent, but if I am looking at the app - for example whatsapp I can see stuff beneath it.

Yep, I agree, burn-in. Did you buy this from someone, or were you given it for free? If you bought it using some 3rd party marketplace (like eBay), and if the listing didn't specifically say there was screen burn-in, you could probably request a refund.

Definitely, 100% screen burn in. It's pretty severe too, so hopefully you can get a refund or some other resolution without much hassle. Looks like whoever owned this before you played a lot of Pokemon Go.

Notice the placement of the bottom icons.
