I recently upgraded and tried out the HTC U11. That is one solid device right there. Everyday I just kept doing things on my G6. I will rave all day about how nice that U11 and how well it functions. I feel that it is software wise miles ahead of the G6.

My complaints is that it's just to big for the screen you get. Most everyone else has figured out how to get more screen on a body. I prefer the ratio on the U11 over the G6. The no wireless charging is also a nail in the coffin. Didn't thing it would be but I had to run an extra extension cord just to get the charger close enough to where I had enough cable to plug it in. As apposed to my wireless charger which sits next to my bed in a perfect position. That brings me to the aod, which I use a night stand clock when I sleep. While I feel that the U11 is over all a better device, the LG G6 just fits my day to day in more efficient manner.

I keep considering going back but lg's lack of adaptive auto brightness drives me insane. It is way too low indoors sometimes slow to change with light situations, and apps like lux somewhat do the trick but act weird in certain lighting conditions. Not to mention I never got great battery. Good, but not great.

Odd most report seems to point out great battery life, also everyone i know and their mother keep saying NEVER to use auto brightness i never did never will it's useless and drains the battery anyway. Fact is i've gotten better standby and equally good battery life than my s8+ had. If i could get it from my carrier i'd get a u11 no doubt but unfortunately i'm stuck with either lg or samsung sadly samsung didn't learn nothing from their note 7 fiasco so turned to lg for now.

I felt that way about the G5. It was hard to find the sweet spot for auto brightness. I did eventually get it tuned properly. The V20 on the other hand has been great on auto.
