First into the Att corporate store this morning and got my black leather home. I've been setting every thing up and now I am a happy camper. I just put it on the charger and we will let it cycle a few times today and tomorrow.
My very first impression of it is Holy Snot this thing is light... Really lightweight. Second was damn it sure is purty..... Lol
The rep was totally Gaga on it since it was the first time he has seen one..... He's a big LG fan and knew how to work it.
OK... Here goes my mini review sorta
It's beautiful of course, it's faster than greased lighting on everything I've done including downloads from the play store. The LG skin is nice but I am a fan of Nova Prime and all my Glass Sense icons and themes which run scary fast on it.
The camera is superb... I mean it.. If any one doubts it they are flat out nuts. It's going to take me a while to get to know the best settings to use but from what little I've used it it has removed the need for a point and shoot.
The leather is drop dead gorgeous. Yes it seems a little bit slick and this is because the phone is so feathery light and thin so people are freaking out a little bit because of this. I can see it getting away from some people if they have a light hold on it, but it's not really slick say as my m8 I traded in. I think it's more a mind trick being done that gives this impression. It's not a tacky feel like the inside of a tanned leather belt, but of a fine leather coat, and yes the same is the same as the latter example too... Gives me that... Awwwww smell of it.
The plastic I can see on the front and sides is tastefully done, believe me when I say I have seen far worse and on some high end flagships... This plastic on the front and sides is nice and while metal and glass may get tons of praise... Both are highly overrated IMHO... And remember this is coming from a HTC m8 and m7 user.
The rear buttons won't take long for me to become second nature with... they are that good and actually placed perfectly.
I haven't download my music or movies yet but will be doing this Saturday or Sunday... However I did play around with the volume controls and can happly say that this phone has a tremendous amount of volume for the ringer. I mean Loud....
Call quality is excellent and cell reception is excellent too.. I greatly appreciate that fact.
All in all I am happy as a tick on a dogs belly in winter... Great job LG you got another fan
