I made such a mistake.

So, I've been an android user since Cupcake was released. I've loved android and still do. When the Nexus S was released, I sprung for it and bought one unlocked and had it shipped to Germany. That was by far the best phone I've ever used. I started having issues when I would restart it (it would get hung on the google logo screen). From my reading, this means that the internal SD card is going bad. At the same time, I got stationed in Guam and my Nexus S didn't work on the frequencies of the network providers over here. After thinking about it, my wife and I decided to just get iPhones (please don't kill me, i regret it enough already). The 2 main reasons why we did it is because we wanted updates, and any screen size over 4 inches is too bulky of a phone to carry around (just my preference). Unless you get a Nexus branded phone, you're not really going to get updates after a year, and the galaxy nexus is made by samsung, and they really disappointed me in the longevity of their products. Plus, the Galaxy Nexus again seems too bulky. Upgrading to the iPhone has been such a pain. I really miss widgets, and other trivial things that most users don't really notice until they are gone.
I guess the bottom line is this. The grass is always greener on the other side, and hopefully I'll be able to get back to Android sooner rather than later.
