I keep seeing people post about having to pay full retail on a phone in order to retain their grand fathered unlimited data.
My wife just upgraded a couple months ago and retained her unlimited data without paying full retail.
Is it just certain phones that Verizon is doing that to?

Works for me. I'm one of the few that doesn't care about unlimited data. I'm on a family plan with two other phones and we don't come close to 4 GB a month.
