Well depending on the amount of happy owners out there who just never bothered to post & so forth vs the user's here that have experience numerous problems with at least a couple replacements to boot.

I purchased my N9 a couple months after launch (white 16gb 2nd gen build).
I took a chance & bought off eBay sight unseen (nib but looked like it had spent time being kicked around by UPS) from some random seller @ about $350.
Besides the lag mostly experienced using Chrome & some minor light bleed I've been quite lucky. Through at times the lag was unbearable and would only go away shortly after a cache clear only to return later.
No boot loops after any of the various OTA's or other horrors thankfully.
Now that 6.0.1 has hit my N9 is much snappier and feels like it should have from the first day.
I just wish it would have felt like this from the first day till the present...
I guess this is really just me rambling :)

I feel the same. Finally the n9 is the way it was "intended" to be.

Indeed ... The first few months was painful, the next 6 months meh, but since 6.0 and more so 6.0.1 its been the best Android tablet experience out there imho. Now we can relive the past year of our lives with the Pixel C.

My n9 basically sat in a drawer for 9 months. I just recently took it out to give it "another try" and that's when the 6.0.1 update came in. Good timing.

I've been using my N9 but didn't really enjoy the experience until 6.01. You guys are right, this is what the tablet should have been out of the box.

I got so fed up with my nexus 9 and the lagging, restarts and everything that I gave it to my wife and bought the Samsung S2 9.7 but my wife who used to complain about the same problems with it is now well happy with its performance since the 6.0.1 update.
It finally works as it should of done from the beginning, it's just a shame though that is taken Google this long to address these issues.
I'm guessing now that I should of waited a little longer before buying the S2 😂😂😂

Bought my fiancee a N9 for Christmas and the model she has seems to be flawless so far. Hardly any light bleed and super responsive and fast.

I love mine, still not a tablet on the market I'd rather have at this point in time.

Cool.. Was nosing around Ebay last night looking for one of these and glad to hear 6.0.1 has made a difference. When I look at what's out there, picking up a lightly or barely used N9 for under $200 seems like one of the better options. What blows me away is what the Sammy Galaxy Tab S 8.4 brings on Ebay even when in bad condition!
