I need a good Bluetooth Speakerphone

I got my Incred about three weeks ago and it's great, but I have been through 2 BT ear pieces and a Jabra Cruiser Speakerphone and none of them work well.

I'm not a fan of the headsets, they never feel comfortable, but I need to be hands free in the car.

Anyone have experience with the BlueAnt Supertooth3?

It has the built in contact list that should let me voice dial, but is the sound quality of the calls good?

With the Jabra I could hear calls fine but my voice would cut in and out or sound like I was calling from the bottom of a well. (What's that Lassie... Timmy's using his bluetooth again!")

I'm open to any speakerphone that will reliably work!

I haven't used the Supertooth, but have always been very pleased with the SQ from BlueAnt devices.

The Blueant app for the Inc is also pretty sweet.

I have the SuperTooth3 and absolutely love it. Best speakerphone I have used to date. Pairing is simple and calls come through clearly. Plus Blue Ant's battery life amazes me. Definitely go for it. BTW, the best price I found was at BuyDig.com for $61.95.

PvilleComp, the SuperTooth3 is full duplex with full DSP noise cancellation / echo cancellation.

My fear is that I’ve already blown $250 on BT devices.

I don’t care so much, what it costs, just that it works well and I’m not pissing off my customers with conversations that start out “Hello… Hello… Hello… Hello… Is that you?... That’s me… What?... I’m here…. Can you hear me? … Yes, can you hear me now?... What?... Damed BT!... I’m switching to Handheld…. That’s better.”

Frankly, It’s old and the cops are getting tougher on hands free here.

My Winmo Treo worked sort of OK hands free, and frankly the best Car Kit I ever had was on an old Analog Motorola phone. I had the Moto Car Kit installed in the car… It was all hardwired but it worked like a champ. I’m hoping to achieve the same 13 years later w/o having to spent $500+ to do it.

Love the phone… wish BT lived even remotely up to its hype.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've never had someone ask what I said or if I could repeat myself. Another nice feature is that this device automatically reconnects when you reenter the car without you having to do anything.

I use the Jabra Cruiser. It has great sound and has an extremely low profile. Pretty to look at too.

I have the Blueant Supertooth 3, I have had it sense Christmas 09. I love it however it doesn't block out the background noise as well as it said it should. I have been told by many people that I sound like I'm in a tunnel, however it doesn't happen all the time just once and a while. I am also someone who loves to have the windows down and the sunroof open whenever possiable and I do have to close up everything when I am on the phone, that's rather annoying!
I have been looking into a full in car system, sense my 2010 Equonix doesn't have factory in car bluetooth, but I havn't found anything inparticular that knocks my socks off.
The Blueant worked great with my BB Tour, loved having it tell me who is calling, however I can not get the contacts with the Inc to Sync with it, for whatever reason it rejects it! Not really sure why. I have tried a variety of different things to get it to work, with no avail. There is a new Blueant S4, I would be intrested to see how that one works, if it is any better then the Supertooth 3.
So I do like my Supertooth but have been exprencing different issues sense I got my incrediable!

Thanks lil_peanut13. Good to know the Inc addressbook has sync problems with the ST3. That would be kind of a bummer since it's a major feature.

I've narrowed it down to either the BlueAnt S4 or the Mr Handsfree Bluevision II. I like the Remote to dial concept on the Bluevision. Has anyone used it with the Incred?

I have the original Jawbone and I love it... Every model that's been released since has improved on something... My boss got the latest one per my recommendation and he's extremely happy with it.

So here’s the update. Got the Supertooth 3 last night and charged it overnight. I fired it up for the first time this morning and it connected and pulled the contacts with no problem from my DInc. Sounds great in the car and I did not have a single “What” all day.

Hope this helps others... My wife gets the Jabra.

Same here. I literally grabbed it out of my mailbox as I was pulling out of my driveway when it came from newegg and had it up and paired with two phones and mp3's playing and taking calls through my fm radio 15 minutes later as I was driving down the road. Switches automatically to whatever phone is incoming and sounds great. I made a bunch of calls and everyone I spoke with said it sounded great, not at all like a speakerphone.

I think you guys sold me on the Jabra. The FM transmitter for calls and music seals the deal. It doesn't hurt that it's like $20 cheaper than the SuperTooth3.

I still use my Moto T505 from time to time when I don't want to use my Voyager Pro. It gives great audio.

I'm glad this worked out for you, PvilleComp. This will really be sweet with Froyo and voice dialing. I ordered a second SuperTooth 3 for my wife. Her Motorola BT speakerphone is very inconsistent.

Avoid anything from motorola, I have had 3 different headsets and trouble with each one.

I currently am using the Jabra Extreme ( when I am not in the car) and it seems to be working fine.

But, I sympathize with the OP. A solid BT is hard to come by. I have tried, jawbone, motorola, plantronics and they all seem inconsistent.

One things I have learned is that I always keep one of those old plug in ear buds in my car, for the times when I get frustrated with my BT.

I'm really looking forward to Fryo now as well. I?m really surprised that Voice Dialing was not included earlier. Hand?s free laws have been in many states for years, and I don?t think anyone?s surprised that they will spread. Heck if my Dad?s 5 year old Samsung had support Voice Dialing?

I'm using Car Dock along with Voice Dialer HF to handle the voice dialing with my DI. Along with my Blueant Supertooth Light they work perfectly. Car Dock creates a screen with a big button to activate Voice Dialer HF. I push that button, the program asks me to say the number I want to dial, and it dials it. Once it's dialed, my Supertooth automatically kicks in to handle the conversation. Haven't had any problems, and I'm quite pleased with this solution to the glaring oversight of HTC on the voice dialing issue...
